Synopsis: Twin sisters Hannah and Angel (played by Libby Hill), have always been very close to each other, but after Angel's death, Hannah is about to experience a completely new type of bonding with her beloved sister.
So the synopsis doesn't really give you a lot to go on, but a need to step away from over explained horror synopsis drove me the watch My Guardian Angel , after all what did I have to lose after my last disappointing choices?
Although more on the darker side, and more leading into thriller dramatic angle with horror undertones, My Guardian Angel, was definitely worth watching. The storyline and supporting storylines were well thought out, and played nicely into each other. This film really has you rooting for Hannah, an Autistic child, who is being abused by her parents, and unable to communicate to the world beyond drawing. After the suicide of her sister Angel, Angel reaches out to Hannah, and that is where the supernatural horror category comes into it. Angel convinces Hannah, to let her in and finally put a literal end to her abusive parents. As I said, you'll be rooting for Hannah, by the time you get to this part. Her parents (played perfectly by Maria Figgins and Adrian Annis) are the definition of sadistic, narcissistic and horrible human beings.
If you really enjoy a film with darker tones, with a more realistic supernatural horror feel, I would really recommend you watch My Guardian Angel at some point. Trailer courtesy of MTI Home Video.
